All visitors to any Shoot Straight Range MUST abide by the following rules at all times for their own safety and the safety of others.
1. The basic rules of firearm safety must be followed at all times.
2. All Federal, state, and local firearm laws must be obeyed.
3. All firearms brought into Shoot Straight for use on the shooting range and/or for evaluation by the gunsmith or staff must be unloaded and encased (case, rug, bag, box, etc.) Firearms may be inspected/cleared at the discretion of, and by Shoot Straight employees only.
4. Firearms will be cased and uncased on the firing line only.
5. Firearms will be handled on the firing line only.
6. Firearms will be loaded and unloaded on the firing line only.
7. Firearms may be stored behind the firing line provided they are cased and unloaded.
8. All shooters must read and sign the SHOOT STRAIGHT RANGE RELEASE, WAIVER before entering the range.
9. Food, beverages, and smoking are prohibited on the range.
10. No muzzleloading firearms may be fired on the range.
11. Handgun calibers up to and including .44 Magnum may be fired on the pistol lanes.
12. Both handgun and rifle calibers up to and including .375 H&H Magnum may be fired on the rifle range.
13. Shotgun slugs and buckshot may be fired on the rifle range. No birdshot or target loads may be fired.
14. All firearms must have some form of sight or optic.
15. Absolutely no reloaded or remanufactured ammunition may be fired.
16. Tracer, incendiary, explosive, and armor piercing ammunition is strictly prohibited.
17. Targets must be a minimum of 5 yards away from the firing line.
18. Commands issued by Shoot Straight range personnel must be obeyed immediately and without question.
19. No one other than Shoot Straight range personnel may go forward of the firing line.
20. Targets must be appropriately sized and placed to ensure that shots do not strike the floor, ceiling, or walls. Firing a shot that results in a bullet striking anything other than the target or backstop may result in your removal from the range.
21. Cross firing of targets is prohibited.
22. Shoot Straight range personnel reserve the right to inspect any firearms or ammunition at any time for safety considerations.
