About the FN 509, 9mm, 17-round, Semi-Auto Handgun:
The newest addition to the most battle proven firearms manufacturer, the FN 509. Built on the proven platform of the FNS Compact pistols, this handgun was improved inside and out, to meet the standards of the Military Modular Handgun Systems Competition. Over the course of its development, the FN 509 platform has been tested beyond Department of Defense, NATO, and FN’s very own rigorous tests. It exceeded each of their requirements in terms of reliability, ammunition compatibility, and durability in all conditions. Overall, the FN 509 has been tested over 1 million rounds without fail. Comes with fixed 3-dot luminescent combat sights. Satin finished in Tennifer/Melonite black. Front and rear serrations for a positive hold while racking the slide. Double action striker fired trigger with a weight between 5.5 lbs and 7.5 lbs. The FN 509 features an external extractor which also doubles as a loaded chamber indicator, a red dot will be visible from the the right side of the firearm. Cold Hammer Forged stainless steel barrel comes crowned from the factory, aiding in bullet stabilization. FN’s barrels are synonymous with durability and accuracy, the FN 509 is no different. Multi textured grip ensures a positive hold in all environments and comes with two different back straps. Lower bore axis than the FNS, allows quicker follow up shots with less muzzle flip. Polished feed ramp and chamber. And of course, MIL-STD 1913 rails adorn the front of the firearm which enables you add lights and accessories. Like all FN products, the FN 509 is fully ambidextrous, such as the magazine release and slide release. Comes with 2(two) 17-round magazines. Comes with an FN Logo Soft Pistol Case to keep it safe while transporting it to the range.
